Decisions
So I got a 8.25 from a 01 with supposed 3.73s in it I haven't checked yet. I know I need to rehear my front to match. I'm at 3.07s and 31s I do not want to go bigger than 31"s I have the 4.0 an the ba10/5 ( looking for an ax15 ) I do a majority of freeway driving. I am going to dual lock it lokka front and. Rear. I was thinking of 410s but now I'm considering sticking with the 3.73 and gearing the front. Or getting a new 30 with out the disco with 3.73 already in it so I won't have to get a new axle shaft new carrier and have the gears installed. All I would do is put in the lokka and call it good. What say you ?

Check the 8.25 first. I doubt it's a 3.73.

x2 on the 3.55, but if it is 3.73 you can swap in a JY axle from a ZJ with stock 3.73's. Only thing is- it will be low pinion.

Why not just read the tag? There will be 2 numbers on it. Divide the big number by the small number and there's your ratio. Example: 43 11 would be 4.10.

I didn't see a tag when we loaded it. I have only seen one gear tag still intact in my life and it was on a 1970 3/4ton d44

Ok cover is off ring says -3.55 right on it so should I rehear the front to match or should I just keep on with the plan of getting 4.10 front and rear ?
