Lets get back on topic here for the OP, if I wanted a debate I'd open a pointless thread.

Pointless indeed. There really isn't much to debate. You can spend as much cash as you want on that 35, it's your money. If I'm around when it breaks, I'll help pull you off the trail.

Pointless because everyone has their own opinion and different driving techniques.

The only driving technique the D35 requires is being driven to a scrap yard in the back of a truck or Jeep lol.

On topic : Ive seen a few artec D30 trusses in person, good quality and a very clean look. Itll make it self at home on mine sooner or later.

^^this^^ is true for any rig out there. My Xj went everywhere my buddies rigs did on 31's and they all had 33's and 35's. Plus I had nowhere near the body damage they did. Pick and choose the best line for your rig.

I'm also running an Artec truss up front. I really like their products, the quality is there and the cost is great. Personally, I'll never buy from Ballistic. I've seen IRO trusses up close, nice as well if you want to get rid of your stock coil mounts.

I'm planning on upgrading my D30 to be a solid stout axle. I was thinking about doing sleeves and not trussing it, but I think I may have that backwards and I should just truss it and not sleeve it. Any credence to what I'm saying? Should I just forgo the sleeve kit and just truss it. It's predominantly a daily driver, but the last thing I want on a trail is a failure.

The axle would be getting
Artec Truss
Artec C-Gussets
JKS Mini Skids
4.56 gears
Detroit TruTrac
Chromoly Axles w/760 joints

I was debating the synergy sleeve kit as it's only $100, but I could possibly spend that money elsewhere. Also if I don't sleeve it should I get axle tube seals? Those are $50 and I could just get the sleeves. I guess that's my thought process.

yes, lots. I still don't understand what the sleeves do. I could understand if you were racing it and wanted thicker wall tubes, sure. but for a light-medium duty crawler? nah. truss is the way to go for stiffening up the housing

axle tube seals? these things? that's actually kind of cool. still, I'm not entirely sure the purpose of keeping the insides of your axle tubes that clean. maybe if you were big on mudding? gunk will build up in there but it's easy to scrape most of it out during routine maintenance

I have sleeves in mine. I figured why not for $75 or whatever they were. And gusset s and a truss. Seems to be ok so far. I have a light foot though. Don't need to rally to make it when you have lockers and good tires.

Is doing both an awful idea? They're 100 bucks so I figured it'd be worth it to just do both.

They're about 100 right now. I have the artec gussets already. I don't have a heavy foot per say. I do think doing it all is a good idea. But truss over sleeves. All together is best though.

Im not a fan of those axle tube seals, see to many fail within a short period of time. Also just another thing that needs greasing for such minute gains.

The seals or the sleeves? I could see the seals failing.

Do you not think the sleeves are a good idea at all?

My welder said he'd install em for $20 more than all the other work.
