Do you not think the sleeves are a good idea at all?

My welder said he'd install em for $20 more than all the other work.
It can be argued that sleeves are more work than a truss, since you have to drill holes into the axle tubes to plug weld them.

it's your money, spend as you like. of course adding more steel to get thicker tubes isn't hurting anything. but what you're gaining? I'm not entirely sure

I trussed and sleeved mine after this happened for a 2nd time. Has not happened since! I guess the sleeves probably help from bending/cracking the axle tube... Like if you ram/land on a sharp rock. They are cheap enough...

That looks more like a go hard and don't go home because your *** is stranded in the forest.

I went with Iro on my 44 and 30. 44 is solid and the 30 is getting burned in on the seventh of march. No tube sleeves just the truss and the LCA mounts. On another note I made it through the Rubicon with my stock 35 on 33s without any problems. Not saying you will have the same experience or anything..... I was sweating it the whole time.

And I've ordered sleeves. That's crazy. That's the kind of stuff I don't want to even remotely happen. $120 bucks is cheap insurance. Less than the cost of a tow.

First time I was being dumb... jumped it.. landed in a terrible spot. Broke closer to the housing. I was just down on the beach at the gulf so it was easy recovery.

The second time I bent it on a trial. Bent it back. Few months later I hit a dog going about 40 front tire caught air and snapped upon return to the ground. Not really an awesome story that time around.

I'm going to truss my D30 here shortly when I do my WJ knuckle swap.

I've been pondering relocating my lower spring mounts back on the axle a bit to get some additional stretch at the same time. The extra extra clearance between the tie rod & diff cover is an added bonus.

What's the best way to go about that? Cut off the old mounts & re-use or go aftermarket? I've seen the set-up that TNT has but it starts getting upwards of almost $500 for truss, spring mounts, etc... Thoughts?

Here's another option I found for $125 with the LCA brackets included. Looks beefy & awesome but still a bit pricey.

125 isn't that much considering what you get. Just 1/4in lca mounts are like 75. And those come With bar pin eliminators and beefy coil buckets.
