The mini skids seem like they'll stiffen up the control arm mounts alot too. Couldn't see putting any more then what I have into a d30.

35s are ship anchors. They grenade locked on 31s. 29 spline 8.25s can be picked up for $100

All depends on where you are. They're $300 here and then have to buy new u bolts and anything else such as covers, brakes, coming out to around $450. I'll save a lot of money and time with the 35 and it'll be great with 33s. Non-believer.

You live in the delaware valley, right where I'm from. Complete 8.25s with brakes are $100. I've bought atleast 3 of them. And I'll have one for sale in the next few weeks.

Kinda, studying in western PA now, but I don't plan on doing any axle work for a while, a year or two when I switch to 33s. Thanks though.

I ran a locked d35 on 31's for two years with ZERO problems. Stepped up to 33's and broke a shaft, then broke the spare shaft trying to get home. Next time out, another broken shaft and a broken ring gear. After that, I bought an 8.25 and never looked back.

Sounds like horsing around. There are stories that go both ways with it. Some play hard, others don't.

Wink

I don't want to come off like I know it all and you don't know what is best for yourself. But I don't have unlimited funds either and I wheeled my Danna 35 with 33s" for a little while. (bought it that way) ASAP dropped down to 31s" (traded with someone) so I wouldn't have to worry.

I can understand not having the funds and time to change axle, but I would just wheel it the way it is and take it easy. Wait until you can change it. I did not want to waste money on something just to have it break and waste the money getting my rig home that could have gone into a better axle in the first place and also the funds it will cost just to get it back on the road.

If you still want to put money into the Danna 35 just go easy on the skinny peddle, but you will always have it in the back of your mind. Will I break if I try this or that?

non c clip with 4340 shafts and a truss should be fine with 33s, I've read people and first hand talked to people who ran 35s fine. It's mostly just knowing not to punch the throttle and wheel smart. I have a buddy that purposely doesn't care what breaks and floors it and those are the people that break stuff. Also, did I mention it's 90% DD on road. Anyway, D30 trusses are mostly cosmetic unless you plan on jumping, they don't bend easily.

You'll waste more money on upgraded shafts than buying an 8.25. Granted, it's your rig, so I'm not going to tell you what to do.
