Replacing clutch and a "performance" clutch cost a hundred more. Anybody with experience with an upgraded clutch vs OEM?

What brand is it? All depends on if it's a reputable company or not. If it is, then I'd upgrade

Did not ask brand name as I was only just getting an ideal of what it was going to cost. It is a local parts store and although it is not a NAPA store, a lot of his parts are NAPA brand. My current plans are 31s with a re-gear, but I know eventually it will be 33s that leads to 35s.

The OEM Luk clutch is a good option.
Centerforce and Spec are also good, but a stronger clutch usually stiffens up the clutch pedal.
I drive in traffic daily so I'm probably going to go with an OEM clutch since mine has lasted 160+k no problem and I don't wheel that hard any more.

CenterForce does not stiffen the clutch pedal. Great clutches.

Inquiry and informed he sales Luk which I've learned is the OEM for Jeep. Also spent some time on Google and learned a lot of problems with the throw out bearings that are made out of plastic a few years ago but, no recent posts, with the problem posts in 2011. Also research of the difference between standard and performance Luk clutch went no where. Seems most are going with the Luc and upgrading to a better TOBearing.

Centerforce is the clear winner but $300 to 400 difference is a lot of cash and do not think it would be worth it in a budget build.
