I drive a carb'd Jeep, I have zero issues on hill climbs or descents. The only issue I have is on extreme off camber situations. However, I can compensate for the vehicle wanting to die by feathering the throttle and if it dies, oh well, hold it to the floor and she starts.
If you're not used to a carb, I'm sure they seem like ****. Do I like EFI, sure do, my DD is one. Yep, starts without having to pump the gas and doesn't need to warm up for 10 minutes before heading out in the winter. However, I can rebuild a carb on the side of the road/trail in 30 minutes or less using basic hand tools. If the block pump goes, I carry an electric fuel pump with me. It's simple and I like simple off road.
According to your statement though, carbs are a no go in ANY off road situation. That's about as asinine as you can get with a statement. Now go tell the Yota guys to park their 22r powered vehicles since they have no place being on the trail...

Um, there are tons of carbed vehicles left. Where the hell have you been?

If you don't want to do the back and forth banter of an internet forum, I'd suggest sticking with facts. You know, so people don't have to point out where someone is saying something misleading. Oh no, it has an evil carb, no trail for you!
