Default Is this injector still usable?

I am in the middle of swapping injector now. Those are 784 injector. The plastic cap is broken... Will it has any ill effect?

No, you're going to need to replace the pintle cap or the spray pattern will not be correct.

You may be able to get it from a vendor here or most parts houses should have them.

that part have two purposes, One to hold the o ring in place, and second, to center the injector properly in the hole so it ll spray where it's supposed to spray towards.

Thanks. Now, finding someone who sell those plastic cap is a pain.

Everybody sell o-ring. nobody sell those plastic cap locally.

I wish I can find something locally so I can buy it now, install it tonight and drive it tomorrow.

Don't really want to wait couple of days for shipping....

You could got a replacement from your local carquest, napa etc. Would have been a little more money, but you would have had a replacement.
