Will 31 inch tires fit?
I've got a 2000 Cherokee with a 4 inch OME suspension lift. I've got the stock bumpers and fender flares on the Jeep (nothing has been trimmed) so I'm wondering if anyone can tell me whether a 31x10.5x15 tire will fit without any rubbing or trimming issues?
I'm looking at getting some Cooper Discoverer STT tires so I figured I would ask before I buy a tire that doesn't fit.
The Jeep sees light off road such as snow, some mud, and trails, but it is by no means a rock crawler nor does it see anything extreme. This is the reason I don't particularly want to trim anything just to make tires fit.

Yes, with 4" of lift, 31's will fit. Now, without the proper backspacing or wheel spacers, the tires will rub on the LCA's at full lock. But, it isn't too bad. I run 3" on 31's and mine barely rub at full lock. I usually don't get them to run as I have just gotten used to how far it'll go before it does and just don't turn the wheel that far. New rims are in the future though.

32x11.50 fit perfect on a 4.5" lift
However with 3.75-4.00" Of Backspacing
I had 31x10.50 on before with the 4.5 and it was very close to rubbing on the front springs at full lock, but never did. & The rears technically fit but i could barely fit a screwdriver between the leaf springs and tire. so i would say lift isnt an issue in tire fitment, more of a wheel choice.
EDIT: Sorry didnt read Scottmphoto's post.

go with the 32's.. you'll regret going smaller.

Sounds like I'll order some 1 inch wheel spacers just to be safe.
I didn't want to go with anything over a 31 inch tire because I've been reading that the stock 3.55 gearing is well suited for just about up to a 31 inch tire before re-gearing may be necessary.
I don't particularly want to have to re-gear the thing if I can avoid it.

You could fit 33s but ya ain't have good flex or turning radius. I'm running 32 with 4" of lift, adj LCAs. Flexes pretty good for short arms. I trimmed my fenders bout 1/2". Wheels got 3.50" backspacing
