Hello! maybe some of you can lend me some opinions just did a 6.5" rough country lift slip yoke eliminator install on the jeep went drove it to work go to throw it into 4 high vibration and very hard to control (not death wobble)
now i will say this it has not been aligned yet and i still need to put some better tires on it
another thing i will note i threw it up on jack stands and felt my wheel bearings and the right one felt pretty loose i have two coming
now i have tried googling this found some threads said the bearings where bad but just wanted some other peoples opinions
thank you!
So i replaced the front driveshaft as well as the front hubs and centered my axle with the trackbar still in 4 high vibrates
went and removed the front drive shaft completely gone in 4 high or 2wd so that rules out the t case
anybody have this problem
bueller? bueller? bueller?
I do think so thank you for replying it is a oem replacement double cardan umm i went and did some tinkering with it last night i changed my pinion angle out ajusting the upper control arms out quite aways but now the springs dont look too good (crooked in a way) the vibration is gone but
i guess another question on these jeeps i have a high pinion dana 30 in front does that change the distance on the upper control arm length i know most xjs came with the low pinion
and if it is out farther then the reccomended length will i do damage to it?

If you pulled the front ds and vibes go away you have 1 of 2 issues.
1) Front pinion angle is bad and needs correction
2) Bad ujoints in front ds

Only 99-01 came with LP and they are fine. HP are sought after for ground clearance. Is your axle centered front to back?
im assuming mine was one of the few of the 2000's sent out with the high pinion
i guess my question really is with it not being a low pinion like most jeeps have does that mean my upper arms should be out more
the instructions called for 15 1/2 i went and tweeked them myself im thinking they are 17" eye to eye
now the vibration is gone but im afraid the steering i seem to have to over correct it if that makes any sense
and seeing as the its so far out my coils do look buckled up front
(the lowers are set 16 1/2 eye to eye)
thank you for your replys coil buckling up front a tad pinion angle seems correct now seems to make some over corrections when driving
You adjust to the same castor angle regardless of whether it's a high or low pinion. You can measure your castor angle with a magnetic angle finder on the bottom of the C.
im thinking im gonna have to pick one up for her just to make it correct
im wandering with it being out farther will i damage anything? and does it have anything to do with me having to over correct when steering i know the steering has always been pretty loose in it i have to take it to get it aligned yet
