Any opinions?
Clarification:
I will be putting a cat on it when I can afford an exhaust system. Then I'll do it all together.
And, I meant two inline mufflers, a small glasspack and a super 10. It should be meaner than just a 40, and a little bit louder.
... I think.

I really don't see why, the glasspack would make it a bit deeper and cut a small amount of rasp and lower the volume a bit. The the super 10 to deepen it more and add flowmaster tone. Together, they're the same price as a 40 or 44 and should be a little louder.

I've thought about that set up too. All you really need is an 8" gp between the cat and super 10. I'm doing a super 10 and one of those really cheap high-flows when I get a header

Do you mean the Hooker muffler? I've never seen the Hedman muffler.

I've run headman headers and the headman turbo mufflers on my trans am for years... never had any issues, sounds great.... but thats with 450+hp behind it....
That being said, its put up with that beating for a long time now with NO issues...
Pretty cheap in cost too - $40, I like it more than the flowmasters but I would compare sound to a 50 series i guess???

So maybe a bit quieter than a 40? I was looking at Magnaflows but LMC Truck has them for about that price.

Oem is most reliable for a stock set up. Unless you are getting a quality aftermarket part...

Oem is crap. Have someone bend you up a new one without all the kinks and necked down areas.

Well for one thing it's against the rules on here to talk about the removal of cats. But to answer your question it will sound very aggressive. I have no cat (until after Christmas) and an 18" glass pack and I love it. Even with a broken #6 tube on the manifoldit sounds good. Check out youtube to get an idea of what they will sound like. But for $40 you can pick up a stainless steel high flow cat from performance-curve.com.
