2. Not really. Around here at least. I get more for no fender flares.
3. MN doesn't have emission testing

I failed to mention it was straight piped with a cat, so it would have passed emissions anyway. I miss the sound so badly....

Pretty soon I'll be doing from the manifold to the tail pipe in 2.5" pipe, stock cat, and a 4x9x18 magnaflow muffler. Any input?

You mean you wanna take your whole exhaust off including the tubing? And just adding a bigger set of tubing? IMO if your gonna straight pipe it just cut off the "stuff" no point in all that time and money to make your jeep illegal. Plus guys will tell you it's bad for your motor. If that's true or not idk, I'm not a mechanic but I drove mine like that for awhile and it's fine. It sounds cool at first but gets annoying through at least a decent muffler on.

Will this muffler give me what I'm looking for? A real nice sound when wheeling or cruising around town, but not too loud inside on the freeways. http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/d...rtnumber=11256

Ok if you have the money go for magna flow. If u looking for the lower side get a flowmaster 40. Its quite enough so u can talk on your cellphone but loud enough that u know its there..if u want something quiter then that go with a flowmaster 50...a flowmaster 40 will growl and given performance

I know some of the "volume/noise" level is due to the brands of the muffler and design but can't you also control that by the length of the muffler? I.E. even though Magnaflow might be louder an 24" magnaflow would be quiter than an 18" magnaflow. The 24" magnaflow might be around the same volume as a flowmaster 40 but still have a better agressive sound just muted a bit.
