I actually just got mine in the mail a couple days ago. The tail pipe looks great! I haven't had time to put it on, but I'm confident that it will fit great as well.

I replaced my cat and muffler (dealership cat, flowmaster super 40 series) and now my rpms are way higher at every speed except for idle. And I did not notice any significant changes in power along with the rpm increase. Is this normal? When I shift into 4th gear at 45mph it is at 1500 rpms where it used to be 1200 at 45mph. Is there something I'm missing?

Did you disconnect the battery during the cat' install? - Supposedly, you should do this so the ECU is reset, which is desireable with your new cat'. The reset causes the ECU to "learn" the engines correct [mixture?] settings again. During this "reset period", you may have a few (2-3) rough starts (just ignore the symptoms: they will get better).

...of course, I could be full of it. I've been researching why my fuel consumption is crap since my own cat' replace of a couple weeks back, and I've read the above (without yet confirming it, or resetting my own ECU). Still: worth a shot.

I think if you just leave it disconnected for a few hours, it will do the trick. That seems the safer way to make sure the capacitors in the ECU are discharged fully.

...I get antsy around digital circuits though ...just don't wanna screw things up.

Instead of waiting just turn on your headlights then and lay on the horn to suck up the last bits of juice left
