Spintech 9000 and be done with it. 2.5" tailpipe with an intake and bored throttle body sounds awesome. Deep rumble (for a 6 cylinder) none of that raspy ricer sound the cheap ones can give. They are sturdy as hell, small, and as long as I have vehicles worthy of aftermarket exhaust that it all I will buy.

I got the Walker 55277 front pipe in the mail today and wanted to post some pics since I had trouble finding any that answered my questions. In these you can see it does not have the factory crimp on the front, has just one O2 sensor bung in the front, and has the hanger in the rear. It is a 2.5" OD outlet. It did not come with any hardware or gaskets, but I didn't expect that anyway. The pics of this part number 55277 on all the websites show two O2 sensor bungs for some reason so they are incorrect, but I ordered it anyway after chatting with a few members on here that have ordered it themselves and say it only has one. Obviously it is not mandrel bent. I think it's about 2" at the narrowest place I could measure with a caliper in the valley between the "wrinkles" on the "across" bend behind the oil pan. The outer diam. of the wrinkles there is a little over 2.2". It will definitely be better than the crusty old one with the same bends on my XJ currently. Thanks folks!

I know this question has probably been asked before on here, but is there any other header besides PaceSetter that has been made for the Renix Jeeps? About to put a 4.7 stroker in the '88 and so while I'm there, I want to run an aftermarket, better flowing header.

Or you could keep your head and go with an Apn exhaust manifold, I've heard great reviews for them.
What all are you planning with the stroker?

If you're looking for better flow get a 97-99 head? You don't want later than a 99 head but I don't know when they started the better heads. Anyway they flow much better, and have much more aftermarket support, like headers and easier/larger bored throttle bodies if you feel so inclined to get the intake mani too, those flow better as well.

sorry i couldnt read though 173 pages to see if im asking something thats already been discussed. im wondering which stock headers fit which models. specifically i have an 87 and want to know if the headers from the late 90s models will bolt right up. thanks in advance
Too answer your question on a 2000 you technically could but I'd seriously discourage it you'll lose your rear o2 sensors in the process which will mess with the computer you'll end up running really rich and mess some stuff up
