I have stock Wrangler Canyons that are 15x8 w/4.75 backspacing (IIRC), with GY Wrangler 235-75R15's, and they fit fine, drive fine, and look okay (you can clearly see 'em what they look like in my photo link). I bought them because I couldn't find a better deal on new tires.

...although now I wish I'd have sprung for 29x9.5R15LT's (about 3/4 to an inch taller overall). Or maybe slightly taller (plans change: going with 2 inch lift ...mostly because I read this thread too much lol).

...though I really needed them for snow (the original tires were summer tread).

...so I'm haunting C/L again.

My tires are brand new too so id rather buy rims to fit the tire then new tires to fit the rim.

question.. i bought my xj with a lift and 31x10.5x15 bfg a/ts on it.
my next set of tires are what I have now, 32x11.5x15 bfg mts.
my gas mileage has gone way down, and it's waaay more sluggish than it ever was. I was thinking about going back down to 31s when the time comes but I don't want to go smaller! then I read somewhere (it could have been this thread or somewhere on cf, I dont remember) that some guy was saying he had the same 32 bfg m/ts and went up to 33s, and it felt like he was back at 31s because the 32s were so heavy, and the 33s were lighter, and that weight matters more than diameter when it comes to mpgs and everything. is this true? if I find a lighter 33 would it help out?

Maybe a 33x10.50 would be lighter. It would help but you can regear and get it back to almost stock

Yes weight is a big factor. The 33's i run now weigh a lot more than my old 35's so my mileage has suffered. Regearing is the best solution

Default Tuff country 3.5" ez ride install

I just installed the TC 3.5" lift on my 2000 xj and it turned out the front end is about 2" lower than the rear. I'd like it to be more level. Is this common? If not is there a good fix?

(If there is something already posted about this feel free to curse my name and post a link to it, though I wasn't able to find anything in search)

Thanks in advance!

Send that cheapo lift back and buy from a decent company. Tell them it doesn't sit level and you want your money back, then do some digging around this forum and decide what lift you want.

If they won't take it back, order new coils to match the rear, it'll be about a hundred bucks.

I have a 98 XJ and presently it is sitting on a Zone 3 inch lift and I want to upgrade to a 4.5 inch lift. I read somewhere that zone's 3 inch lift coil springs are the same as their 4.5 inch lift springs. Does anyone know for sure? If this is the case what would I have to do to turn in into a 4.5 inch lift? In the front? In the rear?

Once I have the 4.5" lift I'm going to throw on some new tires and possibly some new wheels. Right now I have 31x10.5x15 duratracs and I want to go 33x12.5x15. Is there any hidden problems I might have with going that wide? What width of wheels would be best for this?

15x8 wheels with 4 inches or less of back spacing.

I'm don't believe their 3 and 4.5 inch coils are the same. Do you have full leaf packs, or add a leaves?
