Ok, well read that link I sent you and play with a standard to metric tire size calculator.
I'll post it again.

Ok, I want to be able to fit 34" tires on my cherokee sport. How big a lift do I need and who makes a lift that has EVERYTHING I need in one package. I want the tires to fill the wheel wells. Cant stand a lifted truck that looks like the tires are tiny. I also want to install bushwacker pocket style flares. Can the lift kit be purchased for between 500 and 1000?

Thank you for the reply.
I'm looking at doing an add a leaf and maybe some Grand cherokee front coils. Wanted to know if I could use an add a leaf from a cj/yj pack? The reason I ask is a guy has a set locally.
If so would $50 be a good deal?
Thx

Added leaf springs need to be 2.5" wide with more arch or a heavier spring rate than your XJ springs. Anything designed with a sprung-under-axle setup will have more arch, which equates to more lift. I think CJ springs are narrower, don't know about YJs. Dakotas and S10s are common. Comanche springs will work if you can find some.

Thank you. That was the answer I was looking for.
