Alright just two questions, anyone have a sye brand they trust? Also what could I pull a drive shaft from to use for as a rear drive shaft my xj after 5" of lift.

I used a Tom Woods drive shaft but a front XJ shaft works just as well in the rear with an SYE.

i agree with bnjeepsta. those long arms are designed to move freely around at the frame mount so does it even matter that they are fixed at the axle? i also agree that the uca mount is pretty scetchy. i dont know how it even really helps or how to adjust it right but other that that i think iro has a good settup, even though its different than anyone elses.

Good effort on that line of thinking but you are half correct. They will not rotate but as they flex but they become closer together in relation to the body. This means the axle will see the side angle, the angle that appears to be 90 between the axle line and the line of the arm, will change slightly. I would guess only a few deg but enough that welding would F things up.
