What do you guys think for a lift recommendation? I just bought a 2001 Cherokee sport with 70000 miles on it. I should be getting it back next week. It is 100% stock. The springs are not sagging. This will be a DD and should be a decent road ride and not be too brutal on gas other than whats usually expected with a Jeep as I drive 40 mi one way to work. It has to be decent offroad as well. I would like it to be good for things similar to the 3-5 trail rating for Jeep Jamborees. Fun, bit of a challenge but possible to do without serious damage. Probably won't be doing any serious rock crawling. just bouncing around in the woods while hunting. I was thinking 31's or 33's for tires but would like to not have to seriously change the driveline or chop the fenders. I may put bushwacker flares on at some point though. I was thinking a 3 in lift to keep from messing with the drive line. If you guys think I need to go to 33's on the tires I guess I would need a 4.5 lift along with some driveline mods. Either way I want to do this just once and it needs to be rock solid. I prefer a complete kit but am not opposed to buying specific parts as long they are worth it quality wise. I look at this as an investment in my future sanity but that doesn't mean there is no bottom to the pocket either. Thanks in advance for the help!

I didn't run those tires. I was looking at buying the set off a guy and wanted to see how far out they were. At stock height you'll be fine when turning but you'll have zero room for upwards suspension travel. Make sure you bumpstop accordingly. You'll probably not want to run more than a 10.5" wide tire.

I am going to eventually lift my 96 cherokee to 6.5". I am already at a 3" inch zone lift and am looking to go to rc lift. Aside from all the suspension components that come with the kit, what else would i need to not mess up my jeep? I know i need an SYE, but what else?

Those are nice, but these fully functional beadlocks are nicer and they're about the same price. You could probably get free shipping somehow too.

what do you suggest for my rig?
Thanks jerry. I really cant stomach the yellow. And for a DD/ trail blazer some non DOT beadlocks are a bit overkill. I appreciate it and will keep them in mind for perhaps the future.
For the previous question, i'd suggest a clayton long arm kit.

go for 3 in on 32's or 31's I did it for a while and loved it.... If you want to good inroad drive ability go for the better brands.... I think Re has a 3.5 kit .... And get bilsteins of fox ipf shocks.... You'll be more than pleased
Thanks Cherospeed : Still not clear on the long arm short arm thing. Is that a factor with a 3 in. lift? Is there anything besides the kit I will need. (adjustable track bar?) I've read that RE usually sits higher than stated height. Was just looking at quadratec, need to know which rear end I would have. Anyone know which is in there? I don't have the Cherokee back yet. Sorry for the barrage of questions but I want to order it so I can get it on when I get the Cherokee back. Super ride or super flex?

If you plan to do a lot of off roading then flex. If ur mall crawling just get the super ride.
