They are just heavy tires. Great for dedicated crawler, with power. But all around trail tires, they are not.
Honestly would never think of putting them on a xj. Just to heavy for it.

I have cut fenders, how much lift do I need to clear 31s, namely 31" Wrangler Kevlars.

jeep rides like a pogo stick, should i move it back a hole or load rear up with weight?

When i first added an xj main to my pack, i had a stock shackles on the second hole. Leaf couldn't flex enough so i was bouncy. Now that i have the boomearng shackles on the second hole she rides nice. You may need a longer shackle. Try the first hole and see the results but may be worse due to springs having less of a compression factor

if it rides worse im taking the brackets off and going back to vertical. lol. ive took it apart 9 times, theres gotta be a faster way to move it back a hole without taking wheels off, dropping axle, shocks?

I use a reel of wire and a jack to lift up the jeep to change holes

Depends on how much your fenders are cut, and what wheels/backspacing you wish to run.

I have stock height with Bushwacker Flats and 31x10.50's on 4" backspaced wheels. Only rubs if I want to flex on anything, and that's because I haven't bumpstopped accordingly.
