Then try somewhere other than vatozone.
Seriously. You call any offroad or "truck" related shop everything is listed by lift amount. Or you know.... google it.
See your problem is asking a bunch of tards at the "zone" for parts

Yea buddy fun isn't it. Yesterday I woke up went to the rear and sheared the bottom mount bolt...yea the big husky one lol. I was screwed. I drove 2 hours out to etters,pa with the front lifted 3 "s and the rear sagging with one rear shock off and the other swinging in the wind lol. Foxmxrcr helped me out at his shop and he welded heavy duty studs for the lower rear mounts and got my leafs done. Guy has a killer rig too. My jaw dropped when I pulled up.
Let me know how its going. I'm going to get tires mounted now ill post pics but here's one from ride home lol. I'm the blue one obviously

I didn't break any bolts; I didn't strip any threads. I modified the JK shocks to fit without too much issue.
I didn't even smoosh any appendage. Not once. (I did get a headache from the penetrant fumes lol.)
My quickie measurement are approx. 19 inches center-axle-to-flare both front and rear (a half inch more than I expected from reading spec sheets ...maybe those stiff JK Rubi shocks made a bit of difference???) ...so I ended up a bit low in the front. But - unless someone tells me I'm in dire need of a half inch spacer up there, stat! - I'm calling it good (until I get a winch lol).
I'll have better measurements, and before-and-after pix tomorrow (maybe).

Done! - I completed the passenger side in the early evening (didn't get started until 4:00P or so). Even took it for a ride, cross town, for pizza and a brewski.

i just bought an stock 85 cherokee, haven't really messed with jeeps much but i'm pretty excited about this project. i'm putting my wife thru school right now so till she graduates my budget is limited, so that being said, i've read about f150 and S10 leaf springs for an affordable suspention lift, what years do i need to get these items from? The original owner said the only thing that was wrong with the jeep is the fuel pump, will an inline fuel pump work just the same? Is the 4.0 motor a strong motor or do you recommend a motor swap?
thanks
thanks
Swapping in a 4.0L I6 is easier said than done. You would need at least the motor with sensors, exhaust, wiring harness, and firewall modification. Probably a new radiator and related cooling, and I don't know about your transmission.

Your '85 wouldn't have the 4.0L. You have the less common and less loved 2.8L Chevy V6. Or you could have the 2.5L 4cyl.

For leaf springs, there is a ton of info. We call them bastard packs when you use springs from another vehicle. Dakota, Durango, and S10 are popular for that, but Explorers and older F150s would also work. Anything that has springs sprung-under-axle that are 2.5" wide. That's the cheapest way to lift the rear, and it's very effective. It just takes more time.
