45° is good. The farther away you get, the worse it is

I just checked my shackle angle for the heck of it. It's slightly back. Not straight, definitely not 45. It's stock. If I relocate the stock mount l may be able to gain a little travel. But it's got 10" now so that is plenty for the rear. Rides great. Don't know if it would be worth the effort.

It definitely isn't worth it to you, but to some it is. Try riding in one with a proper shackle angle and then repeat that. Like an RC lift, a bad shackle angle is fine if you haven't experienced better

Exactly like an RC lift I have an RC I totally wished I would've went a different route except for the coils they're pretty good but My shackle angle is vertical, you should see when I go over a speed bump it sucks! Never buying RC leaf springs again.

Mine isn't 45 deg back either. Maybe 15-20 deg. I don't need to ride in better to know it's pretty bad. haha

Is anyone running MT deegan 38 tires ? If so how are they thinking about getting the 31's for daily/light trail use.

Okay noob question, that I kinda know the answer for. This is the PA on my girlfriends 98xj:

All Lift & Tire questions go here!!!-forumrunner_20141012_122421.png

It vibrates a little on acceleration up until about 40mph.

Is this something I could resolve with some 2° shims?

Jeep doesn't and will never see anything more than a gravel road, so I'd rather not have to do and sye.

Haven't seen much on them except MT can't decide how much they weigh, and they have a 2ply sidewall

You only use shims for an SYE. Check the angle of the pinion and the transmission, they should be the same.
