Well my next question is waht size bump stops should I get?
I found this quote in another thread on here Posted by Rock Toy and was wondering if this is what I will need to do?

"The only sure way of knowing the correct length for your bump stops is to jack one side of the axle up until it is stuffed as far as you want to go and then measure for bump stop length. Do it for all four corners.
I do this on every rig I set up for wheeling, only way to get it right for your lift and tire combo."

 

I also found this pi of a setup on the same thread posted by s14unimog and was wondering if they sell something like this or maybe something I need to try and fab up myself.

 

That is the best way to measure, and it's what I would've told you as well.
Those can be bought or fabbed, but I don't recall who sells them. That's for the rear, and you can use hockey pucks to extend the front bumpstops.

 

I am new to CF, but really enjoy it. I have not heard anyone speak of Rocky Road for lifts or other parts, I am looking to buy a 3.5 in. lift for my 1994 XJ, what do you guys think of Rocky Road?

 

This might sound stupid, but this is going to be my first lift and i don't know what else i really need to go along with this lift besides shocks and 3'' u bots http://www.quadratec.com/products/16300_818.htm

That's the exact lift that I have. Really the only thing you "need" other than the lift is a track bar, shocks, and u bolts if you have a Chrysler 8.25. I opted to do a ZJ tie rod and steering stabilizer.

 

i'd avoid RRO, they have the same kits as other places, but from what I have heard, terrible customer service.

I've said many times I'm a huge fan of Iron Rock Off Road. In my personal experience, they have the best customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. Their parts are quality, too.
I always hear people say Rough Country rides rough, but I think the XJ I'm borrowing right now has a RC suspension with RC shocks, and it feels fine to me. It's no Caddy, but it's a lot better than my XJ was stock or with JK shocks.

 

If I budget boost up to 4" from my current 3" lift, do I need new socks and lca's or will my 3" stuff work?

And finally, do I need a new trackbar or anything else at 4"? (already have SYE)

 

I have a 1998 cherokee classic with a factory 1 inch lift and i added a 3inch budget lift to the front. So does that mean I know have a 4in lift. What do I do with the rear. I have air shocks for now but rides to stift and was a temporary fix.

 

If you changed your coils and leafs, then you just have three inches. Is the rear aal? If so that is probably contributing to the harsh ride.

 

Brake lines if they aren't done already. The shocks may or may not work. Depends on how long they are. You really should have an adjustable track bar a 4". If you have fixed lca's for a 3" you're fine, but if they are the stock ones then you need new lca's

Just got a 99 SE that is completely stock, right down to the steel wheels and small tires. I have GOT to replace those things sooner rather than later. I would eventually like to lift it, but that's not feasible right now. What size wheel and backspacing will allow me to run the biggest tire at stock height with no trimming and no rubbing anywhere at all, and what size tire would that be? I won't be doing much if anything off road, but don't want it to rub at full lock or if I go over a bump with someone in the back. Also, if I do lift it 3-3.5" would the same wheel size and backspacing work if I were to go up an inch or two in tire size from there? Thanks in advance for any help and opinions.

 

235/75r15 is the biggest size you can run with no lift and no trimming
