Default 703 injectors

Let me get this straight... the injectors needed will have the number stamped on them correct? I went to 2 different junkyards today and looked at 17 different 95-97 neon's and every single one of them had some other part number on them; not ######703. Which class did I miss? I didn't have my list with me, of all the other cars they were in. But, I believe the magic years are 95-97, in most chrysler 2.0s or 2.4s aren't they? And some 3.0s?

There are numbers on both sides of the injector.

You can see 703 on the top one here.

So each side has a different number? Or, are they just two different injectors?

Each side has a different number. If you flip the bottom one around, it'll match the top.

I recall seeing some 740's on a lot of the same year Neons at my yards. Just gotta be watchful. I got a set from a '95 Neon and also a '96 Plymouth Breeze.

FYI, 740's are too short to use on a XJ.

I'm out of my zone right now, but I believe your year takes 784s. And yes, it will run smoother and possibly better fuel economy; not a bunch but better than you have now.

Anyone have a list for what those 703s are on? 703s for a 1996 correct?

703's and 784's are on 2.4l and some 2.0l Chrysler minivans dodge neons plymouths

Lots of makes… go to your JY and start looking.

Although a good rebuild should be in order. I've seen a number of Chrysler cars at the JY had been on fire.

Thanks for posting that chart. I'll try to remember that for the next tune-up.
