Great! I just purchased the hack n tap and the seal for my 92. Will I need new brake lines for driving around? I was told stock ones will work, you just have to undo the bracket and you gain a few inches. I don't plan on wheeling with them, but will it be fine for driving?

Eh......... maybe.. For how cheap they are I wouldnt risk it. Buy some YJ ones at the least and a dakota rear line. Should run you about 40-50 bucks for all of it. Im at 4.5 on stock ones and I have the hard part of the front lines as straight as they can be and mine is still iffy when I flex. Im gonna say yes, you can make it work, but I dont recommend it.

Thanks! And thank you and everyone else who helped me figure out what parts I needed, and the extra knowledge I picked up from it too!
All I need are just nuts and bolts and extended lines from the auto store, and I should be ready to rock!
I do have a question about the hack n tap though. I'm using my front driveshaft for it, so I need to pickup another driveshaft to replace that one, so I can use my 4WD, right? Any XJ DS or what are my options?

So I have to buy the nuts and bolts for the lift, that's taking place this Saturday. Where's the best place to buy u bolt for the 8.25? I'd like to buy at a store, but I don't know if it'd be cheaper online. Do I need 3'' ones? What are the measurements? If I bought online, I was thinking these: http://www.rustysoffroad.com/jeep-su...de-8-each.html
And in case my rear shock mount breaks, I was thinking of doing this method: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/br...-guide-150384/ which requires 3/8-16 bolts, right?
Do I need to pickup any other bolts that'd be better to just replace rather than reuse? Shackles?
Also, can I relocate my current brake lines for my 6.5? It'd just be for daily driving, no flexing or off roading.

Edit: Just checked, they appear to all be about $20, so it actually does turn out to be cheaper, so that's good! Now to just figure out the size. And am I missing any bolts I'll need for anything else?
Cheers

If you have a decidated bolt store like I do they can bend one for you right on the spot, usually better quality, and about the same price, if not cheaper.

Were they pretty cheap, or at least priced decently? I think 4 of them (2 on each side, right), on Rusty's cost like $27, then at least $16 for shipping.. So I guess they can't be that much in store. But are there certain lengths or anything Autozone sells? Is it 3''?

I'll measure it to check it out and just to know, but I came across another post here and the guy used Grade 8 1/2" u-bolts with tall nuts, and it worked just fine. And I think they were purchased at Autozone too. Will I need to worry about the shackle bolt breaking or anything that won't make it reusable? And aside from that, and the shocks, what else should I pickup?

Also, how should the installation go? Shocks first? Then lift, trackbar, hack n tap? And how hard is the hack n tap? I've seen a video of it, and it looks fairly easy, but I'm nervous, haha.

Started the lift today! Will hopefully be finishing it up tomorrow. Did most of the front end today. Have to get the track bar and shocks on, then onto the rear and HnT. Ran into a jack-slippage issue, lol. Hopefully nothing is too damaged.. Anything I should look for? I also kept my 1.5'' spacers on. Since the previous owner put them on to compensate the weight of the front bumper and winch. Will that make my rear uneven? 6.5 coils and 6.5 leafs. I'm thinking I could buy a shackle relocation bracket to help with the 6.5 leafs, and even it out. I have to fit into a 6'9'' garage though. I live in a apartment building and that's where I park. My buddy is at 7'' and sits at like 6'6.. What do you think?

I don't see jack stands under there at all.
Truck falling off jack or jackstands is not funny, I have had some friends of the family die that way.
All the info you could ever need, is on this forum already, just do a search instead of waiting for somebody to tell you how or what.
I did my whole truck today in about 4 hours, Removed 2 leafs on each side to lower it, removed rear shocks, removed front shocks, and took 2" spacers out of the front. And all back together by myself. Most of that time spent was grabbing my tools and playing with my kids.
