Yeah, the sliders look awesome. Every post about them I've seen has been great. Even the guys on Pirate love them. I just don't want to life my rear end up like 2'' lol, these apparently don't add much if at all any, and they eliminate the shackle, so no worrying about the angle. I'm also pretty high up, so I might not have to worry about smashing them. And it's only $2 when I need to replace the plastic thing. How do you like the CADs off and on the road? Good flex? Nice ride quality?Originally Posted by 94XjSport94
Yeah I saw on FB you got some more $$ glad for ya!! Haha but I'm interested in hearing about those sliders but I've herd plenty good things and the drops, not too bad on gettin caught up on stuff if you pick a good line

I havent installed them because i havent gathered the rest of my parts and now im changing ideas again lol. From what ive seen ride quality has always improved putting them on and flex is awesome. I'll find some picsOriginally Posted by 92XJGuy

Oh awesome. Well I'm still interested if you were thinking of selling.
Well keep me updated. After finding out the IRO arms arent as good as I thought, I wouldnt mind going with leaf sliders and CADs.
So I know not a lot of you guys have experience with these leaf slidere, but do you think I'd still benefit from them with a full leaf pack? A forum post somewhere said they're a hot thing for low cog leafs. I'm assuming I'd still get a good ride quality and flex with ny 6.5 leafs.
A guy posted a few pages back saying he uses the sliders on his 6.5 packs and loves them. So I guess I'll be fine. I'm excited to try them.

In order to stay at 6.5" you'd have to get bigger packs. Sliders, although good, take away lift. Look up some pics I remember seeing a build on here that used them.Originally Posted by 92XJGuy

I guess they would take away lift since right now the shackle most likely is at a vertical angle. But the shackle being vertical also means that the OP is probably higher then 6.5in right now anyways.Originally Posted by 99superjeep01

Hmm.. Do shims add any any lift at all? I need shims anyway to help my DS angle. Originally Posted by 99superjeep01

When I installed my 6.5'' lift, I noticed my rear was a bit higher than the front, and I have 6.5 coils with a 1.5'' spacer in front. Although the leafs are still pretty new, so. Is it that big of a difference in height with the sliders? I'd rather be a little lower than 2'' higher haha.Originally Posted by helmut

I've also come across posts where people have said the sliders don't add any lift. Would they mean their height stays the same, or they're not saying that they lost height.
Thanks guys
Also, for CADs, does this LCA look too long?

I think (and I am not 100% sure, just kind of logically looking at it) that the sliders put you where a stock shackle at about 45degree would put you. So depending what shackle you are running and what angle its at you could kind of figure out if it will lower you or not.

Depends on where your wheel sits on the wheel well to answer if they look to long. What do they measure out to?Originally Posted by 92XJGuy

Technically shims will add lift, but barely any to make a difference. Since they go between the leaf and the axle they'll only add as much as their thickness which is approximately 1/4". Don't worry about them adding too much lol.
I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to waste money. I'm fine with picking up a set of a adjustable LCAs. I can get a bend too so my tires don't rub when turning haha. UCAs should be fine, I believe they're stock.

Good to know. I've found out that the sliders will be fine with my lift, I don't see them drastically changing the height. I'm going to order shims anyway though, since it'll help out with my hack n tap and stuff.Originally Posted by 99superjeep01

I was thinking about it. I was going to get new axles if I planned on it. But after my buddy got 35s and had regeared, he's not too crazy about them. If I do, I might get 35 ATs and keep my 33s for offroad. He's a little higher than me and those 35s look a little tight.Originally Posted by Power73
