My guess is linkage. Has a 4 inch lift. No idea other than linkage. If so, is it a transfer case linkage?

Or just get the Boostwerks linkage, cheap and much better than OEM. I've done the install on 3 jeeps, all had bent linkage from DD.

But I second mounts as well, especially tranny.

Oops didn't see you said they're good. I would just replace the crappy OEM linkage then.

There are 2 types of aftermarket linkages a cable type and a metal linkage type both are very good but the price is higher on the cable type.

Yes that's it and for a manual trans read to see if anything else is needed.

He chose the manual version that has a second arm. That one has everything except tools.

I've used both. They both do the same function. One is WAY cheaper than the other.

I preferred direct linkage, but I'm currently running cable.

Buy the boostwerks linkage. Great kit. Novak is probably better, but not as strong and more than 2x the price.

Edit:
Tools needed for install ;
* Spanner/Socket set
* ratcheting wrench
* small pry bar and/or flat head screwdriver
* Drill + random bits
* BFH (not specifically necessary, but it's a Jeep so it always helps to have a big F-ing hammer)

X2 on the Boostwerks linkage. I replaced my rust bucket factory linkage, and now it shifts smooth as silk. Highly recommended.
