took "BoPeep" out for a shake down test and some poser shots:
the girlfriend and owner driving
madi and harley our wheelin puppy
only rubbed on the horns a little but other than that just add a hocky puck for a little more bump stop, relocate the horns and i think itll be good then i need to work on the back and dial in the leafs (rear flex is really hurting me)

Looks like it turned out good for her and she is a good looking girl you got man
I was running the gen 1 Rusty's 8" long arm on my old Cherokee and had no issues with the kit what-so-ever. I now have the coils and front shocks on my Comanche for the time being and love the flex out of them. I built a custom 3-link front setup for my Comanche this time around but haven't had it out wheeling yet (still piecing the engine together). If you're interested in any pictures of that build for ideas or anything, just give me a yell.
my girlfriend just bought an xj and shes wanting to put 35s on it...
this being her first car im not wanting to throw a 8 inch lift on her first car...
so im going to build it with LOW COG and keep it at around a 3 to 4in lift, im going to cut the fenders, probably tub the rear wheel wells a little as well as the front, add some bump stops, a rear shock hoop behind the back seat, and take off the short arms and put some long arms on
the only problem is that not knowing much about the xj market i was wanting to as what you guys suggest would be better for my long arm choice?
would it be worth making my own? ill be fabbing my own CM to mount them.
or would it be better to buy some? if so whos the best priced?
she wont be wheeling that much aside from playing out in some fields or on easy level 1 to 2 trails. i just want her to be able to show up all the kids with there 3 inch lift and 31s that talk **** about how with her 35s she wont be able to take it out on the trail with out rubbing or flexing
with that being said
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

I built virtually the same im on 3" minus of lift. I absolutely love the ride quality and ability to go fast of rd with tons of potential to crawl and flex.
Couple motivational pics.
My arms are pretty flat providing a sweet all around ride. leaps and bounds better and also better than long arms with taller lifts. Or kits providing a flat belly. That flat belly further increases arm angle
I could talk for days on suspension and tunning. Thats one thing the bolt on market doesn't provide, tunning. Its designed for the market that doesnt want care or know how.. or know they want to tune. Im telling you they definitely would want to if they knew better.
I've been seeing my upper arm coming inside through the floor . Ive got a desire to raise it 3"
