Default 3.5" Rubicon lift and driveline angles?

I tried the search, and really didnt find anything useful.
Lift isnt installed yet. But its a full leaf pack 3.5"
I have a 99 with the 231 and a 8.25.
Trying to avoid an sye and even a tc drop. Maybe I wont need anything. But thinking I should order up some shims just in case? if so what *?
I know sometimes they all can be different just looking for common general info on this.
thanks in advance

Shims won't work unless you have an SYE with a CV shaft.

I would definitely order shims along with the lift, make sure they are steel though and not aluminum! I think RE also sells them. I'm new to all this myself, just giving you info I've found after snooping around on the forum for a while .

As for your drive line, I have heard that 97+ Cherokees came with shorter drive lines so they are more sensitive to being lifted and having vibrations afterwards. You may be fine, but then again you may not. I think its a hit or miss kind of thing.

If you DO need a T-Case Drop, consider this:

Its actually a new cross member, they claim you don't lose any ground clearance with it. Its what I will be ordering if I get vibes after shims on my 2000 when I lift it 2"

Otherwise just buy those 1" block things.

Good luck!
George

Without the SYE, you don't want your axle tilted forward

Idk I have around 4" of lift and a 1" tcase drop + 2* shims fixed my vibes.. And I've seen 3" lift kits come with 2* shims so I think they do something. I'd go with that tcase crossmember or just a drop though if you wanna steer clear of a sye

The RE kit will lift your truck close to 4.5"

I have one installed on my 01 limited and a t-case drop made my vibes liveable until i can get an sye. You will need something to correct it, so go ahead and budget for it. The tcase drop i got from rustys was 45 bucks shipped and it came next day through regular ups.

X2 I have RE 3.5 with a t-case drop. The drop made the vibes better but now I am looking into a SYE just to make everything Right. T-case drop just puts stress on other parts.

I ran the same lift on my '98 and NEVER had any vibes. I know all Jeeps are different but I would wait and see how it works before spending extra money... Unless of course your filthy rich, and if you are I accept donations.
