gain from an AAL will depend on the pack how much you already gained etc. in a 4.5" or so dakota bastard pack it probably will gain nothing. in my still pretty flat XJ+ford pack i would probably gain 1-2" that being said ride will be ****. like riding on a board.

I was going to ask this same question, so please excuse my hijack.
I bought a AAL lift (only due to needing to get on my 31's-and will buy propper leaf packs in six months) and know they don't do much to help a flat XJ factory pack.
I think what my questions are in realtion to this prior one, are twofold.
1. Is it better to JUST run the AAL with the factory pack for 6 months, not worrying about the ride and accepting it is what it is. I just need the even 3" lift
or
2. Run the AAL, in the factory pack, but go to the JY and grab two S10 leafs and throw those in WITH the flat XJ main, new AAL-to hope it's a slightly better ride for the 6 months.
I'm looking for it to be level first, ride quality second. This is only going to be in no more than 6 months.
I really, really appreciate you input and will get propper new leaf packs in 6 months, so please coment on these two choices. Whic one is better and why.
Thanks brothers!
