Default 27sp 8.25 to 29sp 8.25?

i have a 27spline 8.25 and i just found a guy selling a 29spline 8.25 with disc brakes out of a 99, for $175. should i buy it since it will bolt right in

if it has the gear ratio you want in it, yes, and then sell your 27 spline for 150$

I'm jealous! I'd be curious to know if it's the ZJ conversion or JK...or the Teraflex kit. damn I wish my 8.25 had discs!!!!

I'm prety sure it's zj, but I will find out more when I go look at it. The main point is, it has discs

Pretty sure I'm going to piece together a conversion kit for my XJ. It seems like a lot of work but well worth it and straightforward. I read somewhere that certain year KJ (liberty) have a rear 8.25 with discs and the backing plate bolts right on. The e-brake...still not sure on that one. But looking forward to this challenge! I just wish the write ups I've found had working images. I HATE THAT!!

Yeah, I rally hope the brakes on this axle were done right. I'll fond out when I get there lol

I did the disc swap on my 8.25 very easy i used parts off a 97 zj dana 35 stops amazingly and no more adjusting drums if anyone has questions about the swap pm me
