holy crap... I just did that! I lifted it and use a pair of vice grips to keep it up.

I keep saying that's the next thing to fix, but never have.

 

i saw the first 5 mins of it and had to turn it off

 

not only was it one xj, but they wrecked two!!! how could they???

 

Inconceivable!! How could the Mythbusters commit such an atrocity!?

Curiosity got the better of me and I saw the preview and turned it off...why couldnt they have used something useless like a damn minivan??

 

that xj on mytbusters is so nice too! couldnt they find a rust bucket atleast?

You know you drive an XJ when you hit a deer at 30ish miles an hour and break it's rear legs, keep driving and the next day when you assess the damage all you notice is some hair on the bumper and that it's slightly bent up on that side and thats it. Any other car or even truck would probably suffer significant damage.

As for the mythbusters jeep thing, i haven't seen it and from what i read i don't want to, i like that show and i don't want to hate those guys for witnessing the distruction of a perfectly good jeep.

 

You know you drive an XJ when you are working on it and realize you need something from the store and drive away with tools/parts on your bumper.

 

When this is something usual in ur life (like for me):

Friend: why does it seem like u need to fix something in ur Jeep every week?
Me: cause I pretty much do
Friend: then why don't u sell it and buy something better?
Me: u r seriously asking me that? simple, cause there isn't anything better. Keep asking and I won't let u ride it anymore.

I hate having to explain it to them all the time

 

the mythbusters used 4 xj's and wrecked 3 of them but only 2 were unfixable
