You know you drive an XJ when repairs for a front end collision is whatever the jy charges for a few small parts.
You know you drive a mid 90s XJ with mechanical airbags when you are in a front end collision and it doesn't go off (but the seat belt did lock!)

You know you drive a jeep when it comes up in converstion and all your friends refer to it as a POS and you get so offended you seriously comtemplate finding new friends or just making more friends with people who love their XJ as much as you love yours no matter how it looks.

You know you drive an XJ when you replace something major(see; steering column and swapping lock cylinders) and once you're finished something stupid has stopped working(Dash lights anyone?)

You know you drive an XJ when you're so used to complicated things breaking that when something simple happens you automatically assume it couldn't be that simple.

You know you drive an XJ when it looks like more of a beater than when you bought it, but its in far better mechanical condition.

it turned out to be a fuse...THE ONE fuse that I didn't check, go figure.

OH, and I don't want to tear down and rebuild an XJ steering column again for a LONG time. Talk about a Royal PITA, I solo swapped a front axle in less time.

You know you drive an XJ when once you lock the driver door, you do not allow anyone other than you to touch the door handle, because when locked, if you press the door release the lock jams.

mine does that too, even after i replaced the door lock cylinders.
i find if i lock/unlock it a couple times then try to open it, it will open, must be a design flaw in the linkage.

Swapped my engine, when i got done, my cruise control stopped working, the airbag light came on, and everytime you turn the headlights on, you have to pop the hood and disconnect the battery from the terminal to get the switch to reset. How is any of that even related to an engine swap aside from possiblt the cruise control. Idk but i addapted and i don't mind popping the hood everytime i turn the headlights on anymore, haha.

what irked me the most, was the implication that they were trying to remain true to the movie scene they were replicating, but it sure looked like a 'yota 4runner to me
