Is this a question or a statement?

Why do you want more air? For the intake or heat dissipation?

My raidiator is slightly bent so I think it's blocking the flow of the coolant or water so it gets hot if I let it sit and run but when I driving down the road it'll cool back down to operating temp. And because I have a bad crank shaft position sensor it'll shut off once the temp gets over 210 so I'm trying figure a way to keep it cool in the bay until I get a new raidiator and sensor

Shim up the rear of your hood with washers.

Radiator is only $100 and a fan clutch about $35.........

What you're describing is the classic symptom of a bad fan clutch. I would replace the fan clutch and see if that fixes the issue.

There are several "tests" of the fan clutch you'll see floating around, but most of them are not reliable. The only reliable test is to remove the fan clutch, turn the spring 180° so that the clutch is locked, then put it back on to see if it cools properly. Since you have to take the stupid thing off anyway, you might as well forget the test and just replace it instead.

Hood "scoops" that ram air into the engine bay are a bad idea on an XJ. What you want is for air to be sucked through the radiator and out of the engine bay. If you put a scoop in the hood, you're pushing air in behind the radiator so that air coming through the front has to fight the higher air pressure behind the radiator to get in.

What you can do instead is install hood vents that allow heat to rise up out of the engine bay and allow air forced through the radiator a place to go so that more air can come in through the front of the Jeep. It's about pulling hot air out rather than forcing air in. There are a lot of different options for hood vents, foremost among them the hood vents from a Chrysler Lebaron, which fit the XJ hood almost perfectly. This recent thread has several other options, but you ought to search the board to see what else is available. Remember that the louvers of a hood vent should slant away from the direction of travel rather than cutting into the airflow across the hood.

One other thing: If your fan shroud is missing, that will diminish the fan's ability to pull air through the radiator. Make sure you have a full, unbroken fan shroud installed. If yours is missing (as so many are), find one at a junk yard to replace it.
