Just caught that $400 was closer to $600. Check out rock auto thats where I got my bearings and gaskets. Ebay for rings and pistons and Oreillys for the rest.

Just bought one today, don't know how to post pics of it yet. It's midnight blue, 2001 4x4 for $2700, it has 141,000 miles on it.
Paid $16k for our brand new 2 door 2wd Sport back in 1987, kept it for 10 years.

I paid $450 for my 96 ZJ two years ago. It had 208k on it when I bought it and now has 266k. Just bought the 97 a couple of weeks ago for 4k with 213k. Only reason I bought it was because it had the majority of the parts that I wanted to put on my 96.. Planned on swapping parts and selling one. Plan backfired, so now I have one, and the wife has one.

Thanks, I kept the purple ZJ, my wife got the "moss" colored ZJ. I planned on just keeping one. But once I found that the stock mounts were cut off the purple one, those plans went out the window. Ah well, she didn't want me beating on the green one and denting it up. So now I don't have to listen to her complain

Just spent 2300 on Sunday for my second one. 98 4.0 auto with 8.25, 117000 on the clock. Has rear speaker bar and tow package. Great deal on this island. Then the very next day dropped 2600 on lift, tires rims and bushwackers (but they all take about a month to get to the island). So I'm 4900 into it and gonna buy a cd player for it this weekend.
All the money came from the wrangler I just sold. Turns out those are worth a lot in Hawaii.

The 88 4 door I paid $400 for. It had sat for 2 years and still fired right up when I looked at it. All it needed was a CPS and it came with almost $700 worth of audio equipment.
The 89 2 door I paid $500 for. Front end was wrecked but it was super clean other wise and the motor had been totally rebuilt with only 64 miles on it before the dumbass kid got drunk and wrecked it. Never got to do much with it unfortunately though. Ended up having to give it to a guy in my Jeep club.
