1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo w/factory tow pkg.
176,135 miles eveything already on it as it sits with upgrades and an extra set of street tires and rims American Racing 15" w/non matching spare lol.
All this and it was right around the corner from me, I found it on craigslist.
$1,580 Yea I know.... Amazing!! Clean title too. original paint no dents no scratches and well taken care of because it was used as a search and rescue vehicle.
Tranny has around 1,000 miles on it PO said. Brake booster was upgraded already had a brand new part sitting in the back new fan clutch and brake lines.
Only thing was the overheating problem, they had put in a 91' open style system in, but I already bought a sealed 3 core all aluminum radiator for it and both thermostat housing and waterpump are High-Flow, also using a Mr.Gasket 180F thermostat, new coolant res, EGR valve (long story but it knocked the price down for the Jeep $120), new sparkplugs, new coiled radiator hoses, and heater valve. I reverted everything back to a factory sealed cooling system.
I plan on spending more money on it too. I love it.

$150 for my 89 Waggy and bout $300 to get it running good....it needed a new fuel tank, pump, and filter. I also rigged up a lift block off of a 2wd Cummins and a short leaf spring off of a 94 gmc 1500. I also put a set of generic white steelies with new street tires on that i got for $75.
$750 for my 92 Cherokee Laredo got a brand new set of Bassett Racing steelies for $100 and new Runway Enduro tires for $400 and a Zone Offroad 3 inch for bout $350 i think also a Throttle-Body spacer from Helix for $80 and Intake from autozone dont remember the price and some 1.25 wheel spacer adapters to chevy 5 lug pattern for $176. pretty good deals I think.

I paid $200 for my 1991 Sport a couple years ago, with 310,xxx on the clock. Since then it has been swimming in a nearby bay for a while until it could get towed. Changed the fluids and pulled all the seaweed out, gave it some TLC with a wet/dry vac. Started right back up. It's been over 6 months still then and it runs better than before even. Odometer stopped working at 350,xxx ages ago. Needless to say... money well spent.

Paid 4000 from a stealership for my 97 with 130,000. Biggest mistake I've made. But I was younger and didn't know much about them then. Looking at getting a 2001 with 132,000 for 3000 if it's nice. It's an older woman and she's asking 4750. We'll see...
