$1400 for my 98 XJ Sport w/ 249,000 klicks (not sure what that translates into miles.) Needed a new thermostat and some work on the brake drums and cylinders, but apart from that it was fine-minor damage to the front fender and the rest of the body was great. Candy apple red too

$1,300 for my '96 Sport with 135,000 miles and only some slight damage to the front bumper.
$1,700 for my '96 Country with 140,000 miles and a bit of rust, nothing major though.
I love when old people don't know what they're selling! Lol

First XJ was free. 1999 Classic, former rental vehicle. 120k when i got it. It belonged to a friend who never maintained it and wrecked it a few times. I got it running good again but never fixed the body.
This XJ was $2200. 1999 classic, straight body, negelcted paint which will get some tlc from me, 128k, runs great.

Paid $1900 for a 187,000 2-door, 5-speed (shown at time of purchase) with an almost perfect body and unmolested interior. Repainted the wheels, new plugs and wires, 235X15 Yokohama Geolanders, fluids, the usual. Needs a windshield too. Looks awesome all clean and waxed...
