Lol sadly no. Need to get a spare for her. That bottom one is just a random tire that was lying there. Seemed like as good a spot as any to stack mine up.
Started off draining the tranny fluid, then I just cut the rear rubber brake hose to drain that off. Having trouble finding what I was looking for, so I backed off, regrouped, cleaned up my tools and work area. Then I removed the old brake lines, installed all of the new SSTL brake lines except the big long one and the two shorter ones. Started getting hot so I moved into the shade and started replacing the axle u-joints. The driver side went textbook, bet it took less than 10 mins !!! The second one went fairly well too. So I was admiring my work, (now with glasses on) and what the ??? One of the "C" clips isn't seated fully ! The flange ear must be bent ! So I'm thinking that the PO's kid did it, when he backed into some railroad ties as he was cutting the wheel backing into thier driveway. So, naturally I tried to coax it on in, but no ! So, I took it back apart, and measured with calipers. It was off by 1/8" ! So, I tried and successfully bent it back to the exact distance apart as the outer axle flange ears. Not certain if the holes are even concentric now ? Tried to put it back together, but couldn't get the cap on the last step to start or line up right. I think I made the u-joint metal bulge while driving it out the first time ? So, now, do I waste the money on a new u-joint, or just get a used one for now. I want alloy axles eventually, but not at this time. Looking for a used one for now, be a spare later. The outer shaft is fine ! It's always something !!!
Uuughh!
Still working on getting the NP231 out.
When I was in Mancus, CO I had to have the clutch replaced. A place called Garys/B&N Auto repair put it in, and those guys screwed EVERYTHING UP!
My TC shifter linkage is all kadywampus, they ripped up the vent line, stripped the bolts that go from the TC front yoke to front drive shaft, and of course I am no installing a second clutch.
But I did just order the Novak TC cable shifter linkage. Will be here Monday. :-)
I always wanted to splurge on the Novak cable shifter, but ended up going for a BoostWerks kit which has been great for almost 3 years now

My boostwerks one has been great up until 2 trips ago. It kept slipping out of 4 low. Replaced the motor mount bushings and it only slipped out once last trip. Might need to do the trans mount too based on how bad the motor mounts looked. Long story short I've found boostwerks linkage is great with good mounts, but frustrating with bad mounts.
Rerouted one side of the front brake line . Started cleaning up parts. Two XJ calipers and dust shields, two ZJ calipers. Degreased, soaking in white vinegar to remove rust. Tomorrow should be pretty interesting too. May start painting some parts ? Have to clean the front knuckles and ZJ backing plates. Going to do a write up on rebuilding calipers with materials and part numbers used for the rebuild and the ZJ disc brake swap. Surprised to find that no one makes a steel piston for the rear ZJ calipers ? The front XJs are phenolic resin pistons. They're in good shape. The rears will need to be replaced. Was thinking about just getting a steel pistons ? Surprised at how much smaller the rear ZJ calipers are than the XJs.
XJ caliper top, ZJ V8 rear, bottom.
XJ piston left, ZJ piston is tiny !
No wonder half the people doing the ZJ rear disc brake swap are getting by with the OEM XJ disc/drum proportioning valve!
