Gotta luv the white Jeeps ! Black wheels just set it off ! I tried to take a picture of the sunset, from atop Pine Mtn in Harlan Co. Ky last month. The sun looked like a giant orange ball. My phone wouldn't pick it up correctly either. Made the sun turn white ? I got a lot done today. Didn't rain that much and was cooler. I got the ball joints out of the driver side. Took all the u-joints out of both front axles. Removed the front brake calipers and pulled the pistons and old gaskets out. My caliper pistons were phenolic resin ?! I expected to see steel instead. The pistons are in excellent condition. I'm going to reuse them. The bores were nice and clean, smooth ! The dust boots of the pistons are stuck to caliper ? Didn't just pull out ? I'm wondering if it has a retaining ring? Haven't really looked at it closely yet. Still have a bunch to do before I start putting it back together .

I chased my timing issue for like 3 hours and now its late and I am hungry again....
The Duralast Gold replacement is not lining up perfectly with the alignment holes so I think I am going to sprint to the Junkyard tomorrow after work or this weekend and try to grab a factory one.

Got Scarlet up on some ramps, drained the NP231, started taking off bits.
Tomorrow take out blown 231, and hopefully install the new/used one I bought for a gazillion dollars.
It is from a 2001 Wrangler (NV231), so I will need to install my tail shaft housing on it before it goes in.

That's a real thing for me, and the other way around— I'm finally at the point again where regular fast food offends my palette and tract.

Finally got the replacement liftgate latch rod. gonna fit that up tonight.

Uuughh!
Still working on getting the NP231 out.
When I was in Mancus, CO I had to have the clutch replaced. A place called Garys/B&N Auto repair put it in, and those guys screwed EVERYTHING UP!
My TC shifter linkage is all kadywampus, they ripped up the vent line, stripped the bolts that go from the TC front yoke to front drive shaft, and of course I am no installing a second clutch.
But I did just order the Novak TC cable shifter linkage. Will be here Monday. :-)

Nothing to it yet, but got some fresh shoes.

Im not sure how far im gonna go with this one as far as lift/tires, but her current tires aren't even remotely roadworthy. Ive lways liked the OE 5spoke steelies, so for now they'll stay, wrapped in 30x9.5x15 AXTs.

Lol sadly no. Need to get a spare for her. That bottom one is just a random tire that was lying there. Seemed like as good a spot as any to stack mine up.
