Sitting at the DMV to get one registered. Still need to swap the hood radiator and install control arm bushings and get an alignment before I can "really" drive it.

Changed oil & replaced serpentine belt on the 99. Belt was squealing and didn't want to chance it. New belt squeals just at start up. Could it be too tight?

Found a blue cherokee country in the salvage yard with all of its color-matched grille and headlight trim in really good shape, so I bought mine a new face.

I was considering that very thing this afternoon...

More like the opposite. Loose belts squeal.Originally Posted by JeepTrick68

Swapped out the coolant temp sender on the '95. Swap went fine, but discovered the temp gauge in my JY cluster is a dud.
Changed.... er well.... scraped off the OEM valve cover sealant and UPGRADED to a Felpro valve cover gasket

after degreasing the aluminum cover - was greasy black

Gasket on:
Best thing you can do when doing this.... trace out the outline of the new gasket on the cardboard that it came in... put your bolts in the respective holes on the cardboard. Makes it really easy to put them back on the valve cover in the correct locations.

Painted the valve cover
The finished product:

And all bolted up:

Painted the extra trackbar I have to go on the jeep when I do my lift.
