Not a stupid question.

Just the rear.

For off-roading, get some front sway bar disconnects?

I have quick disconnects for the front on my 6.5" lift. I just didn't know of taking the rear off. I'm going to have to do that then. Thanks!

I took mine off and haven't noticed a difference. Granted I don't tow or anything and I don't drive it like a rally car.

A lot of Cherokees didn't have rear swaybars when they left the factory. You won't miss it

That sucks, I did that with mine.

I ended up drilling 1-1/2" holes in my floor above the bolts and dropping new ones in from the top. Either that or welding.

Got my weathertech floor mats in, they fit absolutely perfect! Hopefully it will prevent the floors from rotting out, I really don't want to ditch the carpet. Lol

So it was the bearing making all that noise then.
I was looking at your vid trying to hear it.

I need to do this to my 231. Just a bit hesitant as I've never rebuilt one before.

231 is easily disassembled. Hardest part for me was getting the snap rings off. Just take your time, have ample time and most of all a clean organized work space
