Got mine used for $260 for the pair...with shipping it came out to about $300. There are deals out there, you just gotta look and be patient.Originally Posted by SG Mason
I looked at and drooled over the Truck Lites for a long time before I gave up trying to make due with the stock headlights. I finally went with the Putco harness and a Hella ecode H4 conversion because it fit my budget much better. It came out to just south of $300 after taxes with the Hella setup. I wish I had done a before and after picture because the improvement was astounding. I can't find the numbers, but I think that the Truck Lites have a higher output and better pattern than the Hella ecodes.

I bought mine with last year's tax return. For the price of the H4 conversion I wanted and the added cost of an extra set of bulbs, it was only $75 more to get the TruckLites with the sale I found. Plus they're gonna look damn good once I respray the YJ desert tan

The problem with shopping at the same places you do is that I am Canadian so #1 free shipping never counts for usOriginally Posted by roninofako

#2 Our dollar has taken a dump compared to the US greenback. That $300 US works out to about $375 Canadian right now and shipping would be in the $50-$60 range. I got the Putco harness and Hella ecodes, with bulbs for just under $300. Both locally so no shipping either. If I could have found a set of Truck Lites in that price range I would have went for it. I also was mainly driving at night and needed better lighting desperately so I took what I could get and afford at the time. Besides, Putco+H4 is a lot better than OEM

That's what I was trying to figure out. I wasn't sure of the exchange rate these days. And that upgrade is definitely better than OEM. I did an H4 conversion on my Comanche, and I plan to do one on my J10. Truck-Lites would look horribly out of place on that classic Originally Posted by SG Mason

I just gave mine a quick wash, vacuum, and tidied up the engine bay. impressed with the results, considering the short time I spent on it

Officially Spring here at -10 deg C and a brisk northwest wind.
The Peep needed a little lovin with a continued exhaust leak at the EGR tube connection to the header. Well in this weather, a quick fix with iron pipe bushing and a 1/2 copper coupler will quieten the noise till temp at least rises to just feezin for summer.
Added a liter of 10W30, we are just 3KKm shy of the AMC scheduled 725Kkm interval.
A quick spray of brake clean to remove oil film and a small file touch up of the distributor rotor and contacts.
A couple dolops of power steering and rad fluid.
A shot of grease in all 18 nipples. Air filter was checked and good.
IAC was misbehavin this week with a high idle issue when heat soaked, I threatened to change it out and it hasn't hicupped since all week end.
The 95ZJ was well behaved with only some washer fluid and a wiper blade.
Pooch monitored the whole process from the back.
Was then time for me an the Pooch to walk off a couple pounds of winter weight, well me anyways.
