I know what you mean. I've inadvertently spent more on rebuilding the tranny, transfer case, and modified (and locked) rear. I'm all in now. Might as well rebuild the engine, too, while I'm at it.

Pulled the tranny pan to changed out the shift solenoids. Can't get the dipstick tube seperated at the joint. Can twist it but, I can't get it seperated. Goin to try the hose clamp idea that I seen on the world wide web. I was a little frustrated so I had to walk away from it and leave the pan hanging!!

Once I get the tranny buttoned up, it's time for new plugs, wires, cap, rotor button, air filter, coil and cam sensor.

Default End Of Life

Cherryokee's life was terminated on our Wednesday morning commute by a driver texting while cruising at ~65mph in the left lane. We were stopped at a work zone but the other guy looked up from his very important messages just a few milliseconds too late and he stuffed us real good in the tail. The impact pin-balled us into the truck ahead of me. This is not a good way to shorten the wheelbase.

It would have turned a happy 200k miles on our 15 year anniversary this weekend. My old friend saved my life and I was able to walk away. I often wondered if the airbags could/would ever deploy if I needed them - I guess I got my answer.

Watch for sale items as I sell-off spare parts, Jeep accessories, my summer-time wheels and tires (five (5) Center Line Hellcat wheels shod with young/fresh P235/60R15 BFG Radial T/As, which BFG discontinued - you cannot find these in this size anymore). Will know more/better after cleaning garage...

HD Offroad Engineering frame stiffeners installed. It seems a bit more solid and less squeaks & rattles. Taking her offroad tomorrow, so we'll see if it's noticeable. And she wanders a bit on the road now. Like maybe now I can feel the effects of the rack and tire on the roof...

I finished the 7th day of my RMS install. The RMS went smoothly but I couldn't get the pan to seal. Thanks to someone here on CF my idiotic oversight was pointed out and all is well.
