Nah. I've had 2.5s. 28 would be an absolute max.

Luckily mine passes easily, after I remove the static-cling window tint from the fronts.

With the right driving style it's definitely possible, I've seen a jeep get almost 50 mpg but they were hype emailing to get that high

That is dangerous, turn the wheel suddenly and possible disaster.

Bull****.

I've been around these things since they were introduced in 1984. Had 15 Comanches, 3 of them 2.5s and the rest 4.0s. Commuted in a 2.5 MJ with 3.54 gears. 27 max freeway only.

Don't count on it. Maybe downhill only with a tailwind.

IIRC, 2wd didn't get much better mileage than the 4wd. Maybe 1 MPG max.

1 would be the max. I could feel a difference in driving when I swapped in a D30, more weight and resistance but 2wd isn't some kind of boo witchery magic like that

yes guys. you all think its bull... i was at the race track last weekend... put it on the scale... 2655 with me in it.

no ac, no power steering, and i drive it granny style because thats how you preserve something and its not fast

I also have the throttle body with 1 injector. replaced my ISC (idle speed control) and it went from 32 to 38

$45 brims the tank. lasts 1 1/2 weeks. i drive about 30 miles a day.

My Comanche is a similar set up but 2WD. Mine gets in the 20s but I don't have a CCV system.
