Or really unavailability. Our local dealer informed me that a tariff has been placed on tires (automotive,atv/utv,etc.). He has four sets of mud tires and said after they're gone as of now he can't get more. I planned on getting new tires in the fall. Hate to get them now as there aren't rebates on the ones I'd be interested in. He's offering $15 dollars off each tire until he can't get more.

Sooooounds like a bunch oooof crap to sell you some tires when business is slow.

 

Doubt that as their business is never slow even though it's just a side business. Couple of elderly brothers own it and run it by themselves. Time will tell I reckon.

Those tariffs are placed on tires manufactured in APAC regions, so non-American-made discount/cheap tires. Funny how an "American-First" policy ends up hurting Americans who make a living - even if it's just a partial one - on selling non-American-made products.

 

But on the other hand, Interco tires are hard to get supposedly because of the pandemic. I have had IROKS on order now for almost three weeks

 

Hard to tell since it's changing every day.

 

Don't know what the small business owners are like where you live but around here dishonesty on their part is a sure way of losing customers.

 

Seems to be a new wave of it coming on. Our pastor and friend of mine is one of our county commissioners. Told me a bit ago that he looks for our county schools to lockdown again.

 

Probably so. They are making lots of noise about masks etc
