Someone tried that on me. They told me it wasn't a *real* Jeep, and asked how many grocery bags I can fit. Lucky for me, it was the day after our junkyard run. I gave him the list: "2 people, a 3 ton jack, 2 jack stands, my sub, 2 cases of water, my tool bag, cordless drill, circular saw, new carpet, a tent, windshield wash, a crate of cleaners and additives, a roof rack, liquor, food from Sonic, coil springs, a track bar, seven wheels, and nine tires. Oh...and my groceries." Then I reminded him that my 'fake Jeep' can go more places than his Nissan Altima, and I can do it with more stuff in the back.

 

the first week I had my jeep, I was sitting inside with the window cracked waiting for my buddy to meet me to go eat, and two guys walked buy..

guy 1: "thats a nice jeep!"
guy 2: "look at all the dents, that things a piece of ****."

I frequent oreillys and autozone often, and they all ask me if its a cherokee or grand cherokee everytime, yet I'm in there quite often for my "CHEROKEE".. hell they know my name but don't know I drive a cherokee, and not a grand.

and, I had a kid with a lifted wrangler call my jeep a tonka truck. I haven't seen the kid take his wrangler offroad, EVER. went wheeling today and my buddy called him to come out and tag along. wuss drove his stock tacoma on a/t's.

was about to leave a party a few weeks ago, and this girl walked up and started talking to me and my buddy. we got on the topic of my jeep, and she said "this thing isn't lifted that high!", yet her ***** were lucky if they were higher than my door handle.

 

" All the stuff you've bought for it is worth more than the Jeep."

That is the truth with mine

 

Im a mechanic so I have the tools and access to equipment to mod my Jeep. But I catch crap being the only jeep at the parts window I hear:
Why didn't you buy a real jeep?( is mine fake for something?)

Or when its my turn to drive us to grab some food I hear:

My resale value is more than yours. ( im like dude my jeeps a 88 your car is a 2011, you really just said that?)
Why are you spending money on that old thing? ( still have less in it then any new car)
Um...why doesn't this work? ( because she doesn't like you)
What's that smell?
Why didn't you take the wood sticker off? (Because I freaking like it duh)
Crap like that. My xj is bad *** I like it I don't care how much bs I catch, I ll kick in fourwheel and drive right through it all

 

Yeah.... I hear this mostly from my wife!!!!! LOL

seen 4 or 5 trucks running around with that on the back glass.

makes me wanna hit em and laugh about how i have 1 foot more ground clearance and theyre still taller at the roof, stupid trucks. mud mud mud, try a trail and see whos better! sorry for the rant.
