I was pretty mad about it, but it wasn't really worth getting worked up about to me. When i drive somewhere to look at something i find on CL i look the whole way there and take a slightly different route back everytime and look for what people have for sale in their front yards sometimes you can have better luck with that then you can on craigslist honestly.

I was telling a friend of mine that lives in another state that I got another Jeep. I told them that it was a Jeep Cherokee, and he said, "Oh, is that one of those soccer-mom, station-wagon things?" I nearly lost it. Yes, he is still a friend, but I had to educate him with some different videos and links. He lives in California and is a little hippy(ish), so I forgave him... this time.

I'm starting to get a LITTLE more tolerant of that sort of clueless-ness. Saw a newer Grand Cherokee today, wife and I couldn't figure out what it was for a little while. The WKs and WK2s basically look like Chrysler Pacificas... which are exactly a soccer mom sort of thing. (I think one was in the movie Cellular? Yuppie rich mom drove one of those and the dude with the phone had a Bronco or similar at some point...)

And yes I know I wrote "Grand", my point is that kids these days probably don't know much about older vehicles, let alone proper Jeeps :P

"Oh I thought you drive a real jeep?" I know its been said but a girl refused to ride in it on a date because she said I lied about it being a Cherokee. She also said " this isn't a Cherokee! My mom has one" and points to a new WK...
