I dont know if this one specifically has been said but its been touched on a few times... "why didn't you just buy a "real jeep" ?" meaning wrongler. BC mine was more fun to build! lol

 

i was talking to some coworkers monday about our vehicles and i was asked what i drive i said a jeep which was my first mistake cuz the first thing they said was oh you drive a wrangler i love those they go anywhere..i said no i got a cherokee and one of them said why wouldnt you buy a wangler there better i said mine is stock completely suspension and motor aside from the tuneup and sunday i went on a wheeling trip with friends who all have lifted stuff a t100 two xjs and a bada** grand with a 8.5in lift and 35s and i went everywhere they went i just had to plan my lines we went to the top of a mountian and down the other side 7 hours of offroading and a stock wrongler wouldnt ave made it to the top

 

and i only paid 850 for mine to... most wranglers are alot more

 

You could have bought that Wrangler for 6000....from my friend who just does not understand.

We can borrow my dads f250....same friend as we are getting ready to hunt this year....still does not understand.


I have to speak up about the "Grand" comments from your local parts counter guy....I was that guy for 7 years and I would rather have them ask then just guess. I am sure that I was guilty of "Grand or Regular" at times, but some people are just stupid and they forget to add the "Grand". Be nice to these guys, some of them know their stuff and can save you a lot of time with the right part the first time.

thats alright, i went to autozone today to get my fan clutch and some guy i know from my street racing past said to me "you should have bought a 4 runner" i just started laughing and i responded "why would i do that when my jeep runs?" then some guy in autozone had to remark "chrysler sucks ***" i shook my head and said "yea chrysler sucks soo much *** mine has 221k on it all original huh pretty good to me dont ya think bet ur mustang hasnt broken down a million times before it hit 100k lol"

people are dumb my mom had a 92 4 runner when i was a kid, that thing was a piece of ****, it always blew headgaskets, and it handled like **** in the dirt why would i buy that crap lol

 

Yea, my XJ has 270k and it runs like a top boy. and Ninja Falco's has 178k and his runnin..... don't know why they get a bad rap... as long as you keep up on maintenance they will run forever.

hey easy on the honda's lol, ive had hondas for 12 years, been wanting a cherokee for 5 finally stepped out of the rice game and got me one

 

So I'm at he Jeep DEALER right and he's getting my cars info, "what year?", "88" "two wheel drive or four?" "4x4", "what engine?" "4.0", he looks at me and says "oh the carbureted one?" i was like "huh?"

 

ehh, id still go for a VW over a honda any day. brothers got a 2001 gti vr6. besides a impreza sti, there is no better sounding car, other then my jeep of course. and, its ridiculously fast. also, my buddies got a slammed 95 golf, my sister had a 5speed 98 jetta with 240,000 miles and engine still runs like a top, and my buddies sister has a new chipped 1.8t which is another awesome sounding car.

i will say however, honda makes awesome motorcycles.

 

yea i used to have a few quick honda's one all motor made 220whp and another turbo sohc made 260whp impreza sti's were kinda a joke to me lol so were anything else including v8 cars.. but im happy with my jeep, im selling my civic today i drove it around the block and thought "man this thing is a piece of crap compared to the jeep"

My jeep was called a tonka toy by a 8 inch lifted blazer ten minutes later I sent my girlfriend out in my "tonka toy" to go pull him out. She decided to do a few doughnuts around him first I loved it!
