Great lockers, running one myself but they are very loud. But that's how I know it's working.

I was reading the instructions for install, did you have to pull your carrier? the last lunchbox locker I installed I did it in the truck.

No you do not need to pull the carrier.

On a D35c (at least I had to on my first axle) you have to remove just the bearing caps so you can punch out/in the pin that holds the middle shaft.

On my 8.25 its a bolt that holds in middle shaft so you don't even have to remove the bearing caps.

On the front D30 you also do not need to remove carrier or the bearing caps.

shameless post, if you or anyone is looking for a spartan locker for D35c axle, 93 and lower cherokee only, I'm selling one for $200. Used only 2 months.

wether you have to pull your carrier and ring gear depends on what gear ratio you run

just running stock 3.55's. I didn't see why I'd have to pull the carrier. it's the 8.25 29 splines.

I didn't have to remove the carrier on my d30. I did have to file a tiny bit off of a tooth though to slide it past.

got it in, measured gap was .149 so far works good. I can feel a little bit of understeer on corners but nothing to complain about. it's not really that loud, the only way I can hear it is if the radio is off and windows down. easy to install only took about 45 minutes.
