Default Rebuild Kit

Anyone know where the best place to buy a complete rebuild kit for a 89' Cherokee Laredo 4.0 inline 6 would be? Hopefully with pistons and valves too

Why does it need pistons and valves?

It needs a complete rebuild. I found kits with everything but pistons and valves

Why must everything come from the same vendor? Just buy whatever you need.

I'd let a head shop determine whether new valves were needed. And I would guess that you don't need 'em. A place in NC will sell you a refurbished head for $275.00. ebay

top end failures are far more common than bottom end. valves are cheap enough that it wouldn't be a huge cost difference to replace them. they do wear out, you know. and at that point why let everything ride on a 200k+ mile piston that has the potential to come apart for no reason. idk about you but my eyes can only see so much and my hands can only do so many tests verifying proper function and condition of metal parts that have A LOT of use on them already. if I was rebuilding an engine expecting another 2-300k miles out of it I would replace everything.
