Great thread... Everything from abba CDs to a dead zebra, it seems. As for mine.. The po was def an old golfer dude: golf tees and beer bottle caps under back seat.. It was prewired for a stereo, but I had to pull the rcas away from power wire as they had not only been run together, but taped intermittently... What else.. The standard deposits of change.. My previous car a 93 Saturn.. God we used to beat on that thing.. had a ton of cig filters under where stereo is, I started cleaning around there one day and they started fallin out like crazy.. And would continue to randomly appear.. Idk if my subs were rattling them loose or what.. I could put a can of axe on dash and it would fall over cause of the bass... Made me happy that my 2 10's could do that.. I also found the original sales slip from like Indiana I think..

The last owner had cleaned out my '95 pretty well before selling to me, but once I had the dashboard taken out and apart later, I found an old Enlisted base entry sticker for Fort Belvoir VA. I bought my Jeep here in North Carolina, so it was kinda ironic, as I used to live and work in the Washington DC area back around when my Cherokee was new....I might have passed it in traffic some time, who knows...

That would make me very suspicious about electrical issues.

A scary wiring mess from a disabled? alarm system. Aparantly stolen from owner 1 back in 92 fpr a joy ride. Yeah when will it mysteriously re-enable itself? Sittin in the hot summer sun when I picked it up from owner 2, what's with the lollipops in the center console, messy. Owner 2 did leave me some detailed service records, thanks for that!

Some of these stories are gross. Made me remember when my buddy bought a 1987 4Runner he found 100s of fingernails under the seats... Lol

so go another xj, Everything looked good when checkin it out, no leaks, no smokin, drove great. well hit the highway heading home, noticed the pressure sensor was bouncin every time i shifted. thought ok just needs new sensor. cause i pulled over idol wa normal, no flux when sitting there, just when i shifted. got it home, noticed oil spilling out, looked it over, whole underside was covered in black. rear mains dumpin it out. along with shooting out pressure sensor, dip stick, oil cap, and K&N filter.

So basically the run down is "got a sweet lookin rig, that i cant drive" till i fix a few things.

A Slim Thug CD, a swisher blunt still in the wrapper, a lighter, an assload of change under the seats, and a picture of Jesus with spanish written all over it stuck in the glove box with blue tack...

Not my XJ but another vehicle I owned, I found two solid gold krugerrands buried under the jute beneath the back seat. $2200 vehicle minus $950 in South African gold = one very happy new owner. Basically the way I saw it was, I had almost a grand in free mods to do right away..........Wish that would happen more often, especially with the XJ......

Today I found about 5 years worth of nasty sun flower shells under the back seat, 2 nintendo DS games, 72 cents in pennies and a completely blown out shock. Oops guess I shoulda looked at that before I handed over the cash.
