Hi. I've just bought a jeep cherokee 2.8 CRD Limited - diesel. It makes a single popping sound when I turn the engine off - is this normal?

 

Anybody able to help me with this at all. It may seem like a dumb question to you tekky guys but I'm a girl and don't know about these things. I just want to know if it is something I need to worry about or whether it's normal. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😥

 

What year was your Jeep made? That should narrow things down a bit.

 

2.8 CRD was called a Liberty here in the US.
